Going to Casa Vale tonight with R & S. Had a good meal at Coombe Abbey with colleagues and invited guest Christophe Acar. The food was pretty good. The meeting earlier was Ok with a couple of very bad papers. There was a CoxMaze one presented by Uday - now there were some interesting facts in the abstract !!!!!!!!!

managed some work this afternoon. Covered an angioplasty this morning at the Priory - a bit hairy but seemed OK at the end. I hate to say this but I think what cardiologists do and the equipment they have at their disposal are as the yanks say awesome!!

had a bad day at work today. Got one case cancelled because a c..t..g colleague of mine thought I was not up to the job of doing a coxmaze. Anyway had no choice but to cancel the op ad disappoint the patient. I wonder what his agenda is - it certainly is not altruistic - he is an egocentric psychpath. For the sake of the department and the trust he must go.

ps went to see Donald Singer at Warwick Uni yesterday - useful meeting. I hope the ideas we discussed bear fruit.

had a wireless network installed in the apartment yesterday. It's cool and I suppose has bben the impetus to start this blog.
Have just spent the last hour or 2 cooking tossing and eating pancakes. Should have been working.
Anyway could not be arsed now - am knackered and off to bed. Got a long list tomorrow with a potentially sicky AVR and Cox Maze in a 83 year old with NYHA IV dyspnoea - must be mad
